Game Group has posted a 67% drop in first-half profits but said trading had normalised after last year’s record-beaking software launches. It posted pre-tax profits of £10.8 million for the six months to July 31,which is down from £32.8 million in the same period in 2008. A number of banks have changed their overdraft charges.These days, Halifax is set to become the latest bank to reduce the fees charged on customers who go overdrawn without permission. The group is reducing its charges from £35 for each payment made while the customer is in the red without arranging an overdraft, to £5 per day.
