The City’s watchdog has been accused by the whistleblower of ignoring warnings over building societies venturing into riskier lending practices during the boom years.
According to the Financial Times, the whistleblower says the regulator ignored warnings that mutuals were buying books of riskier self-certified loans in the belief that they were conventional mortgages. The whistleblower also indicated that the building societies had been left vulnerable by branching into other riskier lending in the sectors, such as buy-to-let and commercial property.

The Business of Real Property Management

March 16, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

The concept of Real Property Management refers to the operation of commercial, industrial or residential real estate. It is much akin to the role of management in any business.
The responsibilities of real property management covers accepting rent, responding to and addressing maintenance issues, advertising vacancies for landlords, as well as doing credit and background checks on tenants. It could be very time-consuming.
Luckily, there are many companies providing the landlords with various real property management service packages. They will usually charge the landlords a percentage of the gross rent, and in return to this, property managers may help manage construction, development, repair and maintenance on a property.
